Overview

This eight-day safari from Nairobi links four of Kenya’s best-known destinations: Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara National Reserve.

It combines Big Five game drives with birdwatching, a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, a walking safari on Crescent Island and cultural encounters, and suits wildlife lovers, photographers, families and adventurers.

Day by day

Day 1

Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Pick-up in Nairobi and drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arriving for lunch. An afternoon game drive follows.

Day 2

Full Day at Ol Pejeta Conservancy

A full day of game drives in the conservancy, with visits to the chimpanzee sanctuary and the endangered species enclosure.

Day 3

Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park

Drive through the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, arriving for lunch. An afternoon game drive in the park follows.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha

A morning game drive at Lake Nakuru, then on to Lake Naivasha for lunch. The afternoon brings a boat ride on the lake and a walk on Crescent Island.

Day 5

Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

Drive to the Masai Mara, arriving for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Days 6 & 7

Full Days in Masai Mara

Two full days of game drives in the Masai Mara, including the Mara River, where the wildebeest migration can be seen from July to October. Optional activities are a hot air balloon safari and a Maasai village visit.

Day 8

Masai Mara to Nairobi

An early game drive and breakfast, then the drive back to Nairobi for drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
