Day 1Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Into the Highlands of Laikipia

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel at 6:00 AM. Leaving the city behind, you’ll journey through Kenya’s scenic central highlands, passing lush coffee plantations, charming rural towns, and enjoying distant views of the magnificent Mount Kenya.

Arriving at Ol Pejeta Conservancy at around 10:00 AM, your safari begins immediately with an exciting mid-morning game drive through one of Kenya’s leading wildlife conservancies. Home to endangered black and white rhinos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and numerous predators, Ol Pejeta offers exceptional wildlife viewing right from the start.

A highlight of today’s adventure is a visit to the renowned Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where rescued chimpanzees are cared for in a natural environment.

Later, check in at the elegant Sweetwaters Serena Camp, where you’ll enjoy lunch overlooking the camp’s popular waterhole, often visited by elephants, antelopes, and other wildlife.

After some time to relax and enjoy the camp’s beautiful surroundings, head back into the conservancy for an evening game drive as the golden African sunset transforms the landscape and wildlife becomes increasingly active.

Day 2Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Lake Naivasha

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush before setting out on an early morning game drive when predators are still active and the conservancy is at its most vibrant.

Return to camp for breakfast before checking out and beginning your scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Naivasha, one of Kenya’s most beautiful freshwater lakes.

Arrive at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and check-in before relaxing amidst beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the lake.

Today’s adventure allows you to venture deeper into the reserve in search of the Big Five while exploring river crossings, open plains, predator territories, and some of the park’s most wildlife-rich areas. During the migration season, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the famous Mara River, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters in one of nature’s greatest spectacles.
