A fly-in safari replaces the long drives between parks with short scheduled flights. It suits shorter trips and itineraries that link parks far apart.

Light aircraft have luggage limits. We send you the details with your itinerary.

We book the flights and the stays

Light-aircraft flights from Nairobi to the airstrips near the reserves, reserved together with your lodges or camps as one booking.

Met on arrival

You are collected at the airstrip and taken to your lodge or camp. The game drives start the same day.

Fly or drive onward

Continue to the next park or to the coast by air, or by road in one of our own Land Cruisers.

Fly-in or road safari?

Two ways to travel between the parks

Both can be combined in one itinerary: fly to the Mara, then drive on to the lakes, for example.

Fly-in

Short flights between Nairobi, the reserves and the coast. More time on game drives, ideal for shorter trips, honeymoons and linking distant parks such as Samburu and the Mara.

Road

Our own Land Cruisers and driver-guides from start to finish. You see the country between the parks, keep the same guide throughout and travel at a lower cost.
