This four-day safari from the Kenya coast visits three of the country’s best-known national parks: Tsavo West, Amboseli and Tsavo East.

Expect volcanic hills, lava flows and Mzima Springs in Tsavo West, views of Mount Kilimanjaro from Amboseli and game drives around Aruba Dam in Tsavo East. It is a good fit for couples, families or groups staying on the coast.

Day by day

Day 1

Mombasa or Diani Beach to Tsavo West National Park

Pick-up at about 5:00 am, arriving in Tsavo West by mid-morning for a game drive. After lunch, the afternoon game drive includes Mzima Springs.

Stay Mid-range: Ngulia Safari Lodge. Luxury: Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge or Severin Safari Camp

Day 2

Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park

An early game drive, then the transfer to Amboseli. Lunch is followed by an afternoon game drive.

Stay Mid-range: Amboseli Sopa Lodge. Luxury: Ol Tukai Lodge or Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

Day 3

Amboseli to Tsavo East National Park

A sunrise game drive in Amboseli, then the transfer to Tsavo East. After lunch, the afternoon game drive includes Aruba Dam.

Stay Mid-range: Ashnil Aruba Lodge or Voi Safari Lodge. Luxury: Satao Camp or Voi Wildlife Lodge

Day 4

Tsavo East to Mombasa or Diani Beach

An early game drive and breakfast, then a game drive en route as you leave the park. You are back in Mombasa, Diani Beach or Malindi by late afternoon.
