Nairobi Hotel, Airport
Your safari begins at 6:00 AM as you leave Nairobi behind, heading north into a land where the scenery gradually transforms. The lush central highlands slowly fade into a more rugged and dramatic landscape — wide skies, scattered acacia trees, and sunlit plains that signal your arrival into Kenya’s wild north.
Upon entering Samburu National Reserve, the lifeline of the region — the Ewaso Nyiro River — winds through the reserve, drawing wildlife to its banks.
Arrive at Ashnil Samburu Camp in time for lunch and check-in. After a relaxed afternoon, you head out at 4:00 PM for your first game drive. The golden light reveals a living landscape — elephants crossing dusty paths, giraffes browsing quietly, and perhaps the rare gerenuk standing tall on its hind legs.
Return to camp at sunset for dinner and overnight, with the sounds of the wild surrounding you.

The day begins with a soft sunrise spreading across the plains.
After an early breakfast, you depart with packed lunch for a full-day game drive across Samburu National Reserve. The reserve’s unique terrain unfolds — dry riverbeds, rocky outcrops, and vast open spaces where wildlife thrives in surprising abundance.
Along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, life gathers — elephants bathing, crocodiles basking, and birds filling the air with sound and color. This is also the perfect setting to spot the Samburu Special Five, species rarely found elsewhere.
Midday, you pause for a picnic lunch under the shade of an acacia tree, surrounded by the quiet rhythm of the bush.
In the afternoon, continue exploring or opt for a visit to a Samburu cultural village (extra cost), where tradition and heritage come alive through storytelling and interaction.
Return to camp as the sky turns amber, followed by dinner and overnight.

Arrive at Sweetwaters Serena Camp in time for lunch and check-in. The camp’s serene atmosphere, overlooking a waterhole, offers a peaceful interlude as wildlife gathers nearby.
