This short yet richly rewarding safari offers a perfect escape from the coast into Kenya’s wild heart. From the palm-lined shores of Diani Beach, the journey takes you through the vast red-earth plains of Tsavo East National Park, known for its open landscapes and abundant wildlife, before continuing to the scenic Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. With thrilling game drives, tranquil lodge moments, and breathtaking views over rolling plains and waterholes, this safari delivers an unforgettable wilderness experience in just two days.
Mombasa, Diani, Malindi, Nyali, Airport
You will be picked up from your Diani Beach hotel at 4:30 AM and begin your journey inland, driving for approximately 2½–3 hours toward Bachuma Gate of Tsavo East National Park.
Upon entering Tsavo East, embark on a scenic game drive (1 ½ hours game drive), traversing vast plains dotted with acacia trees and baobabs, home to elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and a variety of birdlife. Continue the game drive embarking on a game drive en route to Ashnil Aruba Lodge/Sentrim Safari Lodge located near the famous Aruba Dam, a magnet for wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, where you can enjoy views of animals gathering at the water.
After lunch (2.00 pm) Thereafter, depart for the afternoon game drive (2 hours) exiting Tsavo east at 4.00 pm and drive to Salt Lick Safari Lodge, arriving at 5.00 pm. Immediately start the evening game drive (1 hours) within the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, where gentle hills, open plains, and waterholes attract a variety of wildlife, especially in the cooler hours of the day. Return to the resort by 6:00 PM for check-in and dinner

Begin the day early at 6:00 AM for a sunrise game drive (2 hours). As the sanctuary awakens, enjoy peaceful moments watching wildlife emerge in the soft morning light, with excellent opportunities for photography.
Return to the resort at around 8:00 AM for breakfast. After breakfast, check out and begin the mid-morning game drive at 9.00 AM (2 ½ hours game drive) before returning to the lodge at 11.30 AM for Lunch. After lunch begin your return journey back to Diani Beach.
